Insane I have to break this down here of all places, but somebody just had to be anti-anti-Nazi about my post. They will bring up that history the German state wants swept under the rug, like the hypocritical Nazi financiers & Holocaust profiteers: the Krupps dynasty, aka die Krupps (in German), and the deal with the devil made in the immediate post-WWII rearmament ("Ramstein" is a NATO military air base opened in 1952, y'all). They blatantly told you who they were when they picked their band names! They're not with the hateful state oppressor apathetic to suffering of The People, the majority (Kein mitleid für die mehrheit). Bands like Die Krupps, Rammstein, and KMFDM - all 3 highly political (& leftist) - are getting censored on the regular by the increasingly hostile modern-German gov't (home to 2 "failed" fascist coups in just the last year, bruh!). Those who refuse to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it. That's two iconic Industrial bands, in two different decades, asking the listener again and again throughout the pre-chorus: Yes, Die Krupps changed parts of PWEI's classic anti-Fascist anthem to be even more explicit about this growing social problem just over a decade later.

Glad I got 7 years of public school German under my belt, plus we all benefit from translation tech we all take for granted. Don't need to be fluent to pick up what they're throwing down.

Can't stress the importance of knowing/learning some German if you end up this invested in German bands, who write almost exclusively German language songs. Non-German speakers, go ahead, translate "Nazis auf Speed." Be amazed by the lyrical fists beating into your head the megalomaniacal madness running the hamster wheels turning inside the so-called Third Reich's "best" minds. A mind-blowing & urgent homage.ĮDIT: For whoever needs to hear this – Die Krupps is an anti-Nazi German Industrial band - in case anyone's apparently confused or "offended" by the band's activism I barely referenced above, but was enough to piss somebody off or about the meaning behind their name.
